My computer goes to sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity, what do I do?
If you are a workstation administrator, change the sleep settings to never. If this is not possible, you will need
to image a computer with a fresh version of windows so that you can change the aforementioned setting.
Can I change the size of the video?
There are 2 size modes. When you play a video it makes the scrolling announcements a bit smaller. I am planning on working on a third option with just scrolling announcements.
How do I create an account for another colleague?
Only a user who has account privileges can add other users. Usually, the first person to ask for this service for their school is given such an account. If you have such an account you will see an "Account Manager" tab at the top.
My announcement does not appear right away.
The announcements refresh every 15 minutes.
The video I posted is not playing
The video owner has not given permission for embedding
The video does not auto play on your browser
1. open the Chrome browser used for your display and type: chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy
2. change the \"Autoplay policy\" from \"Default\" to \"No user gesture is required\"
3. relaunch
If you have upgraded your browser this shouldn't be an issue.
What happens to my account if I switch schools?
email updateallday@bell.net so that you can be switched to your new school
What happens if I want to delete my account?
Ask the point person at your school to delete your account
What happens after 6 months of inactivity?
Your account will automatically be deleted
Password recovery does not work for me, what do I do?
Outlook has blocked emails from updateallday. A hard password reset needs to be done
